Boarding Party 2017

22nd September 2017 A small boarding party went to Norman Nuttal's Lodge  Portsmouth Lodge  No 487

Having arrived late which is very unsual for the Royal Navy Lodge as the Route was thwarted with Traffic Jams however the hospitality shown from 487 was excellent, the standard of ritual top class, and were shown different ritual such as the walking charge, and kept the Nay Gang on their toes. The Festive board was excellent as well, with a high quality 4 course meal, and as two  of us were lucky enough to win raffle prizes that was particularly good too.I liked the notion of moving the Toasts to be given by various brethren rather than all by the top table. We are most grateful to our host, ( and fellow RN 2761 member) VW Bro Norman Nuttall, for helping us make the visit. It was worthwhile, and we had a good run home by 1230am.

Boarding Party 11th March 2017

On a Saturday 6 members of Royal Naval Lodge travelled to Petersfield in Hampshire to attend the installation of the Union of Malta Lodge No 407. Indeed both the Royal Naval Lodge and Union of Malta Lodge emerged from Malta and re-established themselves into the United Grand Lodge of England in the 1980's.

The meeting was attended by The Worshipful Master Dan Bowler and accompanied by  Norman Nuttall, Mike Waterman, John William Rawlins, John Rawlins and  Chris Kelly, the meeting started at 16:30 and all brethren enjoyed the ceremony followed by the festive boar,
